Reception times?
The front desk is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 5 pm Saturday and Sunday 9am to 12pm.

Check in and check out times?
Check in starts at 2pm until 5pm unless previously arranged. Should you require an earlier check in contact us the day before you arrive.

How do we get to Martinique Resort?
Martinique Resort is located in the heart of Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia. Address is 18 Golden Orchid Drive, Airlie Beach 4802. Approximately 35 min from the Proserpine (PPP) Airport and 70 min ferry ride from the Hamilton Island Airport (HIA). If you are driving, take the turn off state route (Bruce Highway) to road 59 (Shute Harbour Road). Turn right at Waterson way, at the roundabout at entry to Airlie Beach main street, turn right into Golden Orchid Drive and we are located at the end of this road.

What credit cards are accepted?
All credit cards with the exception of American Express and Diners.

Is our room serviced daily?
Stays of 7 nights or more will receive a free service. Linen is provided in all rooms. Pool towels are available at reception.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
If your booking is cancelled 28 days prior to the planned date of arrival, there will be an administration fee of $50.00 If your booking is cancelled less than 28 days, or in the case of a No Show, there will be no refund. No refunds will be given for early departure once the stay commences.

Do you have a pool?
We have the best infinity pool in Airlie Beach. The pool is not heated due to Airlie Beaches’ wonderful weather and comfortable climate so you can swim all year round. Our spa is situated beside the main pool and is heated for comfort.

Are there any beaches in Airlie Beach to swim at?
There are 3 small beaches but only 1 with a swimming enclosure. From November to May is “stinger season” in North Queensland and precautions are required. The man-made lagoon is a favourite for all year round safe swimming and relaxing.

What is a stinger?
The marine jellyfish family includes the very tiny Irukandji. If stung there are instructions at every beach on how to deal with it. All boats carry “stinger suits” and you are recommended to wear one so that you have a safe experience in our beautiful waters.

Is car parking provided?
Under cover parking is provided free of charge.

How can we get the price rate for accommodation?

How far is the main town?
The main street of Airlie Beach is an easy 5 min downhill walk.

Is there a restaurant onsite?

We do not have a restaurant on site. We are in close proximity to the centre of Airlie Beach, with some of the best restaurants in the Whitsundays only minutes down the road. Ask our friendly staff for a recommendation.

Are all apartments air-conditioned?
Yes air-conditioning is in the living area and all bedrooms.

Do we need to hire a car while we are there?
Generally speaking you would not need to hire a car. There are airport shuttle buses who can deliver you to our doorstep (charges apply) and the majority of our tours are pickup and drop off. The only time you may need a car is if you would like to discover more of our regional and hinterland sights at your own pace, eg Hideaway Bay or Cedar Creek Falls. There are hire car companies in Airlie Beach, including Hertz and Avis.

I see you have a tour desk. Can we get a discount if we book through you?
We have a terrific receptionist who has been on almost every tour in Airlie beach and has great local knowledge. The benefit of booking direct with us is we can offer you 5% off any tours we book for you.

What are some of the best tours to do?
Cruise Whitsundays are the largest tour operator in Airlie Beach and the only ferry service operating to Hamilton Island and Daydream Island. A very popular tour is the Fly and Cruise package tour with GSL Aviation and Ocean Rafting – this tour takes care of the sea and the sky aspect of our two beautiful icons – Heart Reef and Whitehaven Beach – in either 1 day or 2, depending on the time available to you. Airlie Beach has a huge variety of tours ranging from snorkelling and diving trips, fishing charters, crocodile safari, sky diving, sailing boats, jet skiing, paddle boarding, kayaks and canoes.

Which of the Whitsunday Island are accessible to visitors by ferry?
Currently, only Daydream Island, Hamilton Island, and Whitsunday Island (Whitehaven Beach) which are accessible via Cruise Whitsundays ferry service. Long Island is available via the water taxi from Shute Harbour.

Do all apartments have ocean views?
Yes. Not only do we have ocean and island views, we have the most amazing infinity pool with the same views.

Is there a balcony in our room?
All of our rooms have balconies with ocean and island views with outdoor furniture

Can we cook our own meals in the apartments?
The 1, 2, 3 bedroom apartments have a full kitchen large fridge, oven and cooktop, microwave, kettle and toaster.   The 1, 2, 3 bedroom apartments also come with a fully equipped Laundry in the apartment. The Executive Suites have a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, and no laundry.

Do you provide free WiFi?
Yes WiFi is free and available in all parts of the resort.

It appears the resort is on a hill – will I need a car?
No you will not require a car – it is an easy walk down and there are taxis available from the main street if you do not want to walk up the hill, although most of our guests do.

Can I smoke at the resort?
Yes but only on the balcony of your room and around the BBQ area.

What type of restaurants are available, that you would recommend?
There are numerous 1st class restaurants including Thai, Italian, Chinese/Asian, Seafood, Mexican, Pizza, Tapas, Vegetarian and Modern Australian all within walking distance. Fish D’Vine and Rum Bar is very popular.

When is the wet season in Airlie Beach?
Airlie Beach enjoys a subtropical climate that provides fine, mild weather year round. The wet season is from Nov/ May however Airlie Beach remains at a relatively steady 32 degrees Celsius. Generally only a few days of wet weather a month during this period. Winter in Airlie Beach falls between June to August and, although the climate does get slightly cooler, temperatures are still quite warm compared to the rest of Australia. Much of Airlie Beach’s wonderful weather and comfortable climate can be attributed to its stunning location on the Queensland coast off the Great Barrier Reef. Facing north, Airlie Beach benefits from plenty of sunshine and cooling sea breezes to provide the perfect balance for your Tropical North Queensland holiday.
