Martinique Whitsunday is located approximately 1300 km north of Brisbane in the rapidly developing tourism area of the Whitsunday's, Queensland.

The Whitsunday township, incorporating Airlie Beach, Cannonvale and Shute Harbour is the closest mainland resort town servicing the Whitsunday Islands. Shute Harbour is one of the busiest ports in Queensland providing water taxi services to the Islands, tourist shuttles to the Great Barrier Reef and holiday Charter boats for visitors. The harbour has undergone major works to upgrade tourist facilities as well as provide anchorage for Passenger Liner ships. Airlie has a large Marina for overnight and long-term boat stays.
